"Dr. DeTorres is a kind, and very consider doctor. She listens, asks questions and then together you find solutions to looking and feeling your best. She is non-judgemental and isn't there to tell you what to do, but ask you what you feel is best and then support you in your efforts. She is very knowledgeable and friendly and open and honest. I highly recommend."- S.P. / Google / Apr 19, 2021

What Can I Expect from Diabetes Treatments?
Diabetes is a chronic condition that needs to be well-managed or it can cause damage to organs and other tissues over time. Family history, obesity, blood pressure, and nutrition can all impact a person's risk of getting diabetes. Common symptoms of diabetes include hyperglycemia, frequent bathroom breaks, and excessive thirst; however, many may have no symptoms at all, leaving it undetected without regular screenings. During your initial consultation with Coastal Health, she'll review all these factors, as well as take blood work. From there, she will work with you to create a treatment plan that can help you regulate your diabetes. Dr. Detorres or Dr. Panza will try to help you maintain your diabetes with diet, exercise, regulating blood glucose, and more. Your particular treatment plan will vary based on your lifestyle and more.
