"Dr. DeTorres is a kind, and very consider doctor. She listens, asks questions and then together you find solutions to looking and feeling your best. She is non-judgemental and isn't there to tell you what to do, but ask you what you feel is best and then support you in your efforts. She is very knowledgeable and friendly and open and honest. What Can I Expect from Joint Injections?
Before your joint injections, Dr. Detorres will perform a detailed exam to get a better idea of your pain, the cause, and more so she can help you manage the pain in the best way possible. Once Dr. Detorres develops a unique treatment plan, your injections will take place in a private treatment room at our Port Angeles, WA office. First, we'll have you lie back and we'll apply a local anesthetic to minimize pain so you can remain comfortable during your treatment. It's usually common for Dr. Detorres to perform an ultrasound to find the ideal location for your dextrose injection. This injection will help increase cell growth and stimulate your body's natural healing process to not only reduce pain but heal the overall issue. Most of our Forks, Sequim, and Port Townsend, WA patients experience relief from their joint injection after 2 – 3 days. You may need follow-up treatments after several weeks or a few months, but this will be discussed during your initial consultation.
